OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP

  • All Spar Stores have boxes/trolleys in which you can place mealie meal, long life milk, tinned food, etc. This is then delivered reliably to needy communities
  • We've been involved with the Salvation Army's Beth Shan shelter for abused women and children. They are also feeding a community in Marabastad. Financial contributions will make a big difference here. Please contact Brenda for the account details.
  • The KOS online portal not only lets you order good food to be delivered to your home, but you can purchase food hampers that are then delivered to those in need. Go to their community page
  • The Woodlane Village and Cemetary View Informal Village Forum works in these two areas to bring relief. Visit their page HERE.
  • The ForGood Campaign has hundreds of opportunities for volunteering. You can submit recipes, make phone-calls, do online tutoring, or find a cause you're passionate about and sponsor it. All from your home.
  • The CHOC foundation is running a bake-off (a way to involve your kids in lockdown) but you can also make donations.

  • Don't forget our President's Solidarity Fund.

PRAYER NEEDS

  • Twins Hailey and Keira were born to Enzo and Tammy Bettini on Friday 15th. Hailey swallowed some amniotic fluid and got it into her lungs so she's still in NICU but making progress.
  • Baby Matthew was born to Jacqueline and Julian Ormond on Monday 4th. He arrived safely and is well. Thank You Lord!
  • Jackie's Granny Jean (97) has had two strokes and pneumonia this week. She's in God's waiting room. Please pray for peace for the family. 6 May: Jean rallied , but today it seems she has had a third stroke. This one has done serious damage and things are not looking good...
  • Brigitte's Dad Selwyn had 7 hour back surgery today (Sat 2 May) please pray he recovers well.
  • Baby Caleb: 28 April (He was born on first day of lockdown, but now in hosp with bronchiolitis. 4 May - there seems to be a problem with Caleb's colon. They've done a biopsy - now waiting for results.
  • Maxi: 28 April Recovering at home from a brain-bleed and subsequent surgery
  • AvrilW; 15 Apr: Angiogram and possible Stent. Update: Angio went well - no serious problems. Thank You Lord.
  • HazelG: 3 Apr: Fell and broke arm - requires surgery on Sat at 13h00. 4 Apr - Surgery went well. 5 Apr She's well. 6 Apr Pain not quite under control. Hopefully she'll be home tomorrow... 7 Apr: Hazel is home 😊
  • Comins Family: 3 Apr: Graham's dad passed away of cancer
  • AmyF: 2 Apr: been struggling after tonsillectomy 2 weeks ago. Throat bleeding - had surgery and in hosp until Sat. 5 Apr Amy is home, but very tired.
  • JuneV: 27 Mar Hospitalised - Fever & Lung Infection; 29 Mar Not CV but Adeno Virus - she's serious but could recover after five days ; 1Apr - she's in general ward and might go home tomorrow - they might just give some blood for her anaemia. 2Apr - June is discharged and Home. 5 Apr - June is getting stronger and they have a carer helping them.
  • PaulA: 25 Mar: Quadruple Heart Bypass; 29 Mar: He's out of ICU but still weak; 30 Mar: He's hoping to be discharged tomorrow... 1 Apr Paul was discharged today!
  • JoanL (past member) requested prayer; She travels around Scottish country side assisting bed-ridden folk in their homes.
  • FelicityC: Had 3rdknee surgery last week; 30 Mar - Wound care being done. She's in lots of pain.
  • Melissa (daughter of Woodhill College head): Doesn't have CV but nasty pneumonia and still in ICU after collapsing and heart stopping.
  • CalebS: Born 25 Mar - Went home with Mommy on 30th
